Korea homestay - The one and only chance to experience the real life of Korea!

Guest Registration

Sign up at our webpage www.korea-homestay.com.

Fill in the basic profile and what specific preferences you have, such as preferred region of stay. As soon as you register, you will automatically be on the guest list.

Finding a host

You can browse through our hosts at the website. Visit the "Hostlist" page after logging in. You can search a host by region, university, or subway station using the menu on the left side of the page. If you find someone you like, click on the name to see additional information on the location and living facilities. Apply for that host by clicking on [WISH].

You can apply for up to five hosts per day. The hosts you picked will review your application and you will be able to check if they have accepted you at "My page".

If you find it difficult to choose a suitable host, tell us what kind of host family are you looking for. Once we have the information we will recommend you three hosts free of charge and you can then choose the best fit for you. The hosts also can pick their guests. View the hosts who chose you at "My page" and confirm the one you like to stay with.

Once you confirm a host who has picked you, or a host you picked confirms you, we will send you detailed information about how to make a payment. You can choose between safe credit card payment through Pay Pal, a wire transfer to a bank account in USD (from abroad) or KRW (only available for those currently residing in Korea), or transfer through Western Union. Your reservation is completed after a payment deposit has been confirmed. Before that your host is free to accept other guests regardless of your application. You can check the status of your payment on "My page". After your reservation is completed you will not be able to apply for more hosts.

During Homestay.

We will contact you once every two weeks to check if everything is going well. Call us whenever you have questions or need help with your life in Korea. Homestay is different from all other types of accommodation as it is based on a personal relationship between the hosts and the guests. As long as you act politely to each other, we can guarantee you will have a wonderful time in Korea.
